Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord: Varies (Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring)

The Ascension of the Lord will be celebrated on the Seventh Sunday of Easter in Ohio dioceses. With permission from Rome, the Catholic bishops of Ohio decided to move the yearly celebration of the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord from Thrusday of the Sixth Week of Easter to the Seventh Sunday of Easter. This change has been in effect since the first celebration on June 4, 2000.

*Whenever January 1, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, or August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption, or November
1, the Solemnity of All Saints, falls on a Saturday or on a Monday, the precept to attend Mass is abrogated. As the patronal
feast of the United States, December 8 is always a day of obligation.
